‘New Year’s eve is like every other night; there is no pause in the march of the universe, no breathless moment of silence among created things that the passage of another twelve months may be noted; and yet no man has quite the same thoughts this evening that come with the coming of darkness on other nights.’ Hamilton Wright Mabie
Now that the Christmas celebrations are over and the New Year is approaching, I wonder how many of you are beginning to think about what 2011 will bring.
Percentage wise a large number of people will have taken three days off this week (if you are working on the UK based public holiday calendar or maybe more if you are not), and will be spending that time with family and friends maybe … catching up with chores around the house … on holiday, away from home … rushing around the sales … whereas a smaller number will be working. Whatever you are doing – as the new year is approaching, what thoughts are going through your mind?
What dreams have you had that you’ve never taken the time to think through? What aspirations have you never admitted to yourself that you know what make the change in your life that you truly want to make?
Now is your time to spend a few moments and write down what dreams you’ve had … what aspirations you’ve had … what changes you would truly like to make to your life.
