Your Wheel of De-cluttering is used to represent a helicopter view of the segments of your de-cluttering in all areas of your life as they are today.  The segments are represented by the spokes of the wheel.  As you move through each phase of your life, you have more options in each segment and through the decisions you take (consciously or unconsciously) the segments will become more defined.

As we discussed in our radio show, Barbara and Dawn have defined all your fitness into the following segments:

  • Inside
  • Outside
  • Home
  • Office
  • Relationships
  • Paperwork
  • Car
  • Family

Each segment will be made up of a number of specific elements for de-cluttering.  For example the first people to join your personal relationship were your parents, and if you have an older brother or sister, your siblings, your grand-parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends of your parents.  Your relationships grow in this segment to start to include your own friends, teachers, acquaintances, tutors, lecturers, boy-friend or girl-friend, and the list continues.  This is true of all your segments.

Please be aware that this Wheel of De-clutter is an example and that you will draw your own and fill in your own segments.

Once you have drawn your own Wheel of De-cluttering, enter onto it all your OWN areas that need de-cluttering in your life as your life is today.  Don’t enter past areas that you would also like to de-clutter or that are not in your life today or future de-cluttering areas that you want to bring in.
