Your Wheel of Relationships is used to represent a helicopter view of the segments of your relationships as they are today. The segments are represented by the spokes of the wheel. As you move through each phase of your life, you have more options in each segment and through the decisions you take (consciously or unconsciously) the segments will become more defined.
As we discussed in our radio show, Barbara and Dawn have defined all your relationships into four main segments:
- Your relationship with Yourself
- Your personal relationships
- Your professional relationships
- Your business relationships
Each segment will be made up of a number of specific relationships. For example the first people to join your personal relationship were your parents, and if you have an older brother or sister, your siblings, your grand-parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends of your parents. Your relationships grow in this segment to start to include your own friends, teachers, acquaintances, tutors, lecturers, boy-friend or girl-friend, and the list continues. This is true of all your segments.

Once you have drawn your own Wheel of Relationships, enter onto it all your OWN relationships in your life as your life is today. Don’t enter past relationships that are not in your life today or future relationships that you want to bring in.
